When Hurricane Sandy rolled through the tri-state it left an isolated 11-mile peninsula in Queens called “The Rockaways”in tatters. The town was completely ripped apart and the US Army Corp of Engineers is using it as a case study on how to better prepare coastal towns for suture storms. It’s been over two months since the Superstorm so let’s check in to see how the recovery effort is going.
